Technology for Decomposition/detoxification of dioxins in waste incineration flue gas of 200C was developed using a samll self-shielded electron accelerator(300keV, size: 3 3 3 m including shirlding materials), which is not reqired to have legal the approval of the installation for ionizing irradiation gererator. Dioxin decomposition ratio, the dioxin concentration values before and after electron beam irradiation, is higher than 90%, one order lower than initial value, at absorbed doses higher than 15kGy. The result shows decomposition mechanism for dioxins and demonstrates that endocrine disrupter activity of the flue gas also decrease by irradiation. The contents of paper was the same as one presented in the 2nd meeting on small accelerators, entitled "Promotion of use of small accelerators---".
